What Is A Fanlisting?

"A fanlisting is simply an online list of fans of a subject, such as a TV show, actor, or musician, that is created by an individual and open for fans from around the world to join. There are no costs, and the only requirements to join a fanlisting are your name and country. Fanlistings do not have to be large sites (although some are), they are just a place where you can sign up with other fans." - TFL.org

What Is This Fanlisting About?

So Far Past Normal is the fanlisting for Generation X, a comic book series published by Marvel. Running from 1994 to 2001, it centred around a young group of mutants being trained to use their powers in the hopes of becoming the next generation of X-Men.

Why 'So Far Past Normal'?

I had a hard time coming up with a title for this site and So Far Past Normal is just something that popped into my head. I see it as a reference to Generation X's status as mutants and teenagers. Two states of being that aren't exactly all smooth sailing.

Site Details

Given that Generation X is my all-time favourite X-title, it's resided on my wishlist since I first created one. I was finally approved to run this fanlisting in March 2009, after a previous rejection in 2007. The fanlisting was opened on 26 April 2009. The current version, Version 1.0 uses cover art from Generation X: Underground Special by Jim Mahfood. The font Century Gothic is also used.
