What Is A Fanlisting?

"A fanlisting is simply an online list of fans of a subject, such as a TV show, actor, or musician, that is created by an individual and open for fans from around the world to join. There are no costs, and the only requirements to join a fanlisting are your name and country. Fanlistings do not have to be large sites (although some are), they are just a place where you can sign up with other fans." - TFL.org

What Is This Fanlisting About?

Compression Ratio is the fanlisting for Letters from Pegasus, the seventeenth episode of the first season of Stargate: Atlantis. Letters from Pegasus gives us an interesting spin on the industry-standard clip show, with Lieutenant Ford filming the crew's memories of their time in the Pegasus Galaxy for transmission back to Earth. Each character's message home is touching, with individual recordings veering from humour to sadness to excitement.

Why 'Compression Ratio'?

The title of this site is a reference to the set-up to Letters from Pegasus in which McKay must figure out a way to compress the vast amounts of information they want to send back to Earth without draining their ZPM:
McKay: You jest, but if I can finesse the compression ratio,
you'll be looking for things to add.

This is version 1.0 of the site, featuring screencaps of various characters taken from GATEWORLD. The fonts Verdana, Arial Black, Helvetica and 4b24 are also used. All images used in the codes were also taken from GATEWORLD. The site was originally created by Bonster who very kindly adopted it out to me in August 210 :)
