M*A*S*H: The TV Programme

The success of the movie inspired a TV programme, created by Larry Gelbart and Gene Reynolds, which ran from 1972 to 1983.

The TV series maintained much of the tone of the movie, mixing black comedy with medical drama, and serving as an anti-war commentary. Most of the main characters from the movie were also the main characters in the film, although some were cut and some were altered in some way:
